BIO FACH 2006

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) in collaboration with the Sri Lankan Embassy in Germany will organise Sri Lanka's participation at the Bio Fach 2006 Trade Fair to be held in Nuremberg, Germany from 16 th to 19 th February 2006. This is the World Organic Trade Fair for organic and natural products. Bio Fach provides an opportunity for exporters to enhance exports from raw materials to finished products.

Applications are invited from exporters/potential exporters of the following range of products :

• Organic tea, herbal tea and herbal products
• Organic coconut and coconut based products
• Organic cashew, oil seeds and pulses
• Organic spices and essential oils
• Organic dried fruits, processed fruits and vegetables
• Organic beverages
• Natural cosmetics and health care products
• Other organic and natural products

(All applicants should have an International Organic Certificate or be in the process of obtaining organic certification).

Applicants will be interviewed by a selection panel. EDB assistance towards stall space and construction expenses will be provided to small and medium scale exporters and potential exporters.

Applications should be made on the prescribed forms available at the Export Agriculture Division of the EDB. These forms could also be obtained from the EDB Provincial Offices at :
