Coir Fiber Bales Coir fibre is extracted out of coconut husk and it is graded depend on the process. Usually Mattress fibre, Mixed fibre, Omat fibre and Bristle fibre are some of the common grades. This extracted is dried in order to maintain moisture level and go through the quality control to maintain the impurities and other particles. Finally the fibre is compressed in to bales with plastic strapping to maximize the loadability. Usually each bale would weigh approximately 125 - 150 KG and the loadability will not be less than 18MT in a 40 HC container. Highly used in, • To manufacture sleeping mattresses • To produce car seats and upholstery industry • To produce erosion control products • To produce yarns and ropes • Use in sound and heats resistance applications • Other industrial applications Bristle fiber The stiff, straight and long strands of fiber are termed bristle fiber or brush fiber. The immature husks are kept in a water-filled pit for 2 to 6 months. During this time, microorganisms break down the plant tissues surrounding the fibers and loosen them a process known as retting. Then long fibers are separated by milling process and subsequently dried and cleaned. The brown fiber is the outcome of seasoned coconuts which have lost their green color (>12 months) in the process. Depend on the combing, we have categorize the fiber as 1 Tie, 2 Tie and 3 Tie fiber. The brown fiber could be converted in to white or black fiber after the chemical (bleaching) treatment. These type of fiber are widely used and each has its own distinct types of applications. Apart from the colour, we could cut the fiber in to different sizes. Such as 12cm, 15cm, 17cm, 18cm etc... Main use of bristle fiber • Production of Coir Twine • Brush, Broom, Banister and Tawashi Industry • Potting Mixes/Growing Media • Manufacture of special filters • Solidification of the structure of fiber mixtures in the mattress manufacturing Machine Twisted Fibre ( FMT ) Twisted Coir is made out of 100% Mattress Fiber or Mixed Fiber and several mixes of Bristle Fiber. Twisting is done mechanically is called (FMT) Fuehrer Machine Twisted fiber. The proportions of fiber used for twisting varies according to buyers requirements. We have a range of Twisted Coir, which is made utilizing matured brown coir fiber that is sourced from the fibrous cover of coconut. The range is processed in an utmost manner in order to make it free from any impurities to produce many products. Such as rubberized coir pads, mattresses, carpet underlay’s, coir cushions, seat cushions, coir cushions and for the insulation of drainage pipes. It is picked in coils of 30 kg or in various weights. Most importantly, the natural coconut fiber has the most ideal softness that complies with the natural growth requirement. Machine Twisted Fiber is available in different mixtures such as • 100% Bristle Fiber Twisted • 100% Omat Fiber Twisted • 100% Mattress Fiber Twisted • 50% Omat Fiber and 50%Mattress Fiber Twisted • 60% Omat Fiber and 40% Mattress Fiber Twisted Machine Twisted Fiber is produced with as requested by the buyer.
