HANDICRAFTS WITH HAND WOVEN COTTON FABRIC FOR NATURE LOVERS
Pilseli is located in Unawatuna, in the South of Sri
Lanka, where there is one of the finest beaches in the world. It is the
talent of one individual that created Pilseli, but today it employs about
ten rural females directly and about twenty more indirectly.
Our products are being assured for durability and strength, as our main raw material is hand woven cotton fabric. Fabrics are made out of cottonseeds. Seeds are spun in order to get yarn that is then woven manually. In the past fabric was dyed using natural colors, which were extracted from plants. Due to unavailability of natural dyes, alternatives are manufactured artificially but not harmful to body. Even the buttons used are natural as they are made out of coconut shells and sea shells. We take maximum effort to use raw materials, which are friendly to environment.
Ladies Wear-
Manufactured according to international standard body measurements. These
include Blouses, Skirts, Pants, Formal wear and any customized design.
Gents wear-
These include Shirts of formal wear and casual wear with matching sarongs.
Accessories-
These consist of Handbags, Wallets, Coin purses and different types of
casual bags. All our bags are washable.
Kids items-
Side bags, Coin purses, Toys and Educational toys. Our toys are made with
hand woven cotton fabric and filled with kapok.
Stationery-
This includes Writing pads, Notebooks and Paper box.
Household items-
We manufacture Aprons, Oven gloves, Cooking gloves and Cushion covers.
