During the past decades, significant improvements have taken place in the distillation of Cinnamon Bark Essential oil. Efficient modern still fabricated out of stainless steel have now largely replaced the traditional type of distillation units. A typical modern still is generally fabricated out of stainless steel,where it would consist of an external boiler, still body and a condenser using circulated water.High-grade oil is thus produced in distilleries using these stills.The Cinnamon Bark Essential oil distilled from our quills contains 40 - 65% cinnamic aldehyde and 4 - 15% Eugenol. It possesses the delicate and characteristic aroma and flavour of Sri Lanka's best cinnamon.

Cinnamon Leaf oil is considered to be a by-product in the processing of cinnamon bark into quills.We carry out cinnamon Leaf oil
distillation throughout the year. The July to September period produces the best yield of oil. The Cinnamon Leaf oil produced by us contains about 75% of eugenol.
