Smith Natural Virgin Coconut oil is the natural coconut oil extracted from the kernel of the finest fresh matured coconuts harvested from coconut plantations in Sri Lanka. We call it virgin because it is extracted from freshly shredded coconut meat through unique natural process where all the valuable characteristics, constituents, and nutrients of coconut oil are preserved, without undergoing chemical refining, bleaching or deodorizing, and which does not lead the alteration of the nature of the oil, no chemical or high heat treatment is used. It is the purest form of coconut oil, crystal white in colour, contains natural vitamin E and has not undergone atmospheric or hydrolytic oxidation as attested by its low peroxide value and low fatty acid content. Because of its high stability it does not contains Trans-fatty acids or free radicals. Characteristics of Smith Natural Virgin Coconut oil 100% pure without any chemical or physical changes It is composed of medium chain fatty acids or triglycerides Light viscosity, crystal clear oil that solidifies to a white solid in temperature lower than 79 0 F (26 0 C). Very long shelf life and highly resistant to oxidation & spoilage. Its natural antioxidants give it the longest shelf life than any plant oil. It is heat resistant (the healthiest oil for cooking) and stable in cooking temperatures. Therefore ideal for deep frying and free radical formation at high temperatures does not occur due to saturation. Lauric acid (monolaurin) found in coconut oil easily absorbed into the intestine, and available naturally in mothers milk. Natural emollient, moisturizing penetrating through the skin easily with anti-aging properties. Its high Lauric acid content makes it natural anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties. Delicious with mild pleasant coconut flavor and aroma. Easily absorbed in the intestines. |
