Coir fibre

COIR is a versatile natural fibre extracted from mesocarp tissue, or husk of the coconut fruit, the nut of 'Cocos Nicifera' . The husk contains 20% to 30% fibre of varying length. After grinding the husk, the long fibres are removed and used for various industrial purposes, such as rope and mat making.

Coir Fibre is manufactured from matured coconut husk that is soaked, crushed, combed and dried.
Usage : In the manufacture of ropes and door mats

Coir Yarn

Twisting is done manually or mechanically. The former is called Hand Twisted and later Mechanical Twisted

The proportions of fibre for twisting varies, according to buyer requirements

 

Geo Textile

Geotextile is used in ground and civil engineering applications for improving the soil behaviour, preventing soil erosion and help consolidation of the soil.

Coco Peat

Coco peat is a totally organic growing medium that maintains the soil hale and hearty in a natural way. When compared with other growing medium Coco peat has many advantages such as larger oxygen capacity and superior water holding ability. Coco peat is also rich in root stimulating hormones.

After extraction of Fibre the husk waste is hot air dried and compacted by machine to make Coco Peat.

Coir Pot

Made from biodegradable coconut husk fibres from renewable resources, these environmentally friendly 10.75cm (4¼") pots also allow air and water to pass through, producing plants with better root growth than those in plastic pots. Roots grow through sides rather than become tightly bound, and there is no disturbance.

Coir Carpet

Coir Carpet are made from coconut husk's to produce a material of great strength these extremely strong fibres make a tough and slightly course floorcovering that is hard wearing- fibres are extracted from the shell then crushed dried in the sun and then woven into the beautiful floor covering we install into you house most of coir used for natural flooring is produced in Sri Lanka
