Climate Temperate oceanic/ continental climate zone with frequent weather changes and prevailing westerly winds. Sharp changes in temperature are rare. There is precipitation all year round. In the Winter the average temperature is between 1.5C in the low land areas and –6C in the mountains. In July, which is the warmest month of the year, temperatures are between 18C in the low-lying regions and 20C in the sheltered valleys of the south.
