Executive Director

Dr. Yousuf   K. Maraikkar  has been appointed as new Executive Director of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board by Hon. Rishad Bathiudeen, the Minister of Industry and Commerce.

Dr. Yousuf  K. Maraikkar is a highly qualified personality with a thirty year long domestic and international banking experience in addition to his business accomplishments over twelve  years in Sri Lanka.  He has accredited with Doctorate in Business Management by the International University of Japan, Obtained Masters of Human Right from the University of Colombo & Bachelor of Commerce (Hon) Degree at the University of Sri Jayawardenapura and the  Fellowship of the Institute of Bankers.  He is the Chairman and CEO of Roshan Trading Company (Pvt) Ltd and Rommanz Halal Restaurant and Pool Centre at Duplication Road, Colombo 5.  International Banking experience as the  Regional Operations Manager in Saudi French Bank and Saudi Holland Bank in KSA for  twenty years and twelve years experience in the international division and automation division of the Bank of Ceylon excels his career of great achievement.

In handing over  the letter of appointment to Dr. Maraikkar, the Hon. Minister confidently stated that Dr. Maraikkar would be a beaming light to the EDB with his academic qualifications and long experience in Banking and Business under prudent guidance in the discharge of its functions for  development of export trade with a system of new strategies braving future challenges in the international market.
