Invitation to visit 

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board together with the Sri Lanka Tea Board and the Sri Lanka Embassy in Iraq is organizing Sri Lanka's participation at the 35^th Baghdad International Fair in Iraq from 1^st to 10^th of November 2002.

 

The following products are identified as potential products for promotion under the Oil for Food Programme. 

• Tea in bulk, packets, bags

• Cooking /vegetable oil

• Canned fruits , pickles, sun dried lime

• Pineapples

• Spices

• Desiccated coconut, canned coconut milk

 

Other products to explore interest( recommended by the Embassy.)

• Rubber products including tyres

• Readymade garments

• Ceramic/porcelain ware

• Coconut fibre products

 

SELECTION PROCEDURE

 

It is proposed to select 10 -15 exporters for participation.  The applicants will be interviewed by a selection panel and companies selected will have to bear a total cost of Approx. Rs. 200,000 for their participation which includes the stall rental, freight of goods, air fare and accommodation costs etc.
