FORMLAND FAIR - DENMARK

16th -19th AUGUST 2002

 

      The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Embassy in Sweden is organizing Sri Lanka’s participation at the Formland Fair, to be held in Herning, Denmark from 16th – 19th August 2002. Formland Fair is the largest biannual trade fair in Scandinavia for gifts , designs and handicrafts.  

Applications are invited from  manufacturers/exporters of  Gifts, Design and Craft products which includes the following:

 

       Ceramic &  Porcelain Tableware, Stoneware, Miniature, Figurines etc.             

       Pictures, Frames, Stationery, Office items. 

       Gold, Silver and Costume Jewellery  

       Home Decoration, Furnishing & Furnishing Accessories and Lighting

       Kitchen & Houseware Goods – House Cleaning items, Rush matting, Rugs

       Gift Articles / Souvenirs , Dolls, Wooden & Soft Toys, and Educational Toys, Games / Hobbies 

       Handicrafts, Leather Goods, Clothing ,  Knitwear , Fashion

       Artificial Flowers & Plants, Potpourri, Perfumes, Decoration for festivities

SELECTION PROCEDURE AND ASSISTANCE : 

 

It is proposed to select 6 - 7 companies for this fair. In addition, products of three to five companies will be displayed and promoted through a general stall. Assistance towards stall space, basic fixtures and fittings will be provided for 3 selected SMEs.  Total cost of participation including rental for a 6 sq. mt. stall , cost of basic furniture , fixtures and fittings , airfare , expenses on accommodation and  food  is estimated at Rs. 185,000.00. Short listed applicants will be interviewed by a selection panel.
