The Sri Lanka Export development Board with the assistance of the Sri Lanka Embassy in Japan will organise Sri Lanka's    participation at the IJT 2003 Jewellery Fair to be held in Tokyo, Japan from 29th to 1st February 2003.

It is proposed to select 8-10 gold and platinum jewellery manufacturing exporters/ potential exporters and exporters manufacturing very high quality silver jewellery. Selection of 3-4 calibrated and fine gemstone exporters will also be considered if space is available.

ASSISTANCE

The EDB will assist the selected companies with reference to design and product adoption and undertake a publicity programme.

The EDB may consider assistance towards cost of stall space and stand construction for 3-4 small and medium scale companies.

The other selected companies would have to meet the total costs related to stall space, stand construction, fixtures and fittings, airfare, hotel accommodation and miscellaneous expenses.
