  National Development Bank was established in 1979 in order to finance investment in the productive sectors of the economy. Basis for granting assistance
The financial, economic and commercial viability of the project is the primary concern in project appraisal. In addition experience, integrity and management capabilities of the sponsors, market prospects for the product and technical feasibility of the projects are also taken into consideration.

Types of schemes
Financing your business? NDB offers various loan schemes for:
Small & Medium scale enterprises: SMAP, SMILE
Perennial crop development projects: PCDP
Tea small holding sector: TDP (Tea development project)
Support urban/environmental infrastructure: VEIDP

Principal terms
Loan amount: Update 75% ot the project cost subject to the maximum of Rs. 10 Million. The borrowers should contribute the remainder in the form of equity.
Payment period: 3 to 10 years

Grace period: maximum 24 months

Security: Mortgage for project

At the NDB head office, you can have your project assets insured. Eagle insurance, in alliance with NDB and Zurich financial services group provides insurance policies for LC transactions, leases, loans or even for employees. Eagle offers insurance for: business premises, home and constants, machinery and equipment motor vehicles, stock in trade, legal feasibilities, employees, marine insurance and life insurance.
