Royal Candle Works Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd traces its history to the year 1830, when the world renowned Price’s Candles was established in the UK.

At the beginning of the twentieth century Price's had become the world's largest manufacturers of candles owning factories across the globe including Sri Lanka (formally known as Ceylon) which was then part of the British empire. Price's has a close association with the Royal Family in the UK from the early days when the launch of the composite candle coincided with the wedding of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, and continued the tradition over the years.

In the year 2000 Price’s sold their Sri Lankan operation Price’s Candles Ceylon Ltd to Sri Lankan interest thus becoming Royal Candle Works Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd.

We are part of the Renuka Group, Sri Lanka (est. 1866) and focus on creating extraordinary candles by developing different sizes, shapes, colours, scents, essential oil-based aromatherapy products, organic products among others to meet the dynamic needs of our valued customers, using ethical methods that are in keeping with our core values.

Today, we strive to build on our rich history of 187 years, increasing our international reach, building partnerships and taking candles from Sri Lanka to the world. At Royal Candle Works Ceylon, the flame of our passion still burns bright! .
