Today, Sri Lanka is a leading exporter of Ceylon Cinnamon, Ceylon Pepper, Ceylon Cloves, Ceylon Nutmeg and Ceylon Cardamom, all branded under the geographical indication of Ceylon Spices due to their unique aroma and flavour shaped by the terroir of the country. The company was founded in 1955 by Garumuni Peter De Silva. He came from a small town named Balapitiya in Sri Lanka. In the early 1950’s he sold cinnamon out of a wooden cart and grew it to a sizable local business.

Ltd. has been trading its own "Expo" brand cement for close to two decades since 1994 fulfilling all the international and national requirements. Expo Cement also trades cement under the brand name "Falcon brand Cement" which is also backed by the Lanka Commodity Holdings Group, hence, customers will have a peace of mind about quality and satisfaction. Ceylon Cinnamon is known to offer plenty of health benefits, including the following.
Diabetes. Recent studies have found that cinnamon may help control blood sugar levels. In 2003, for example, Diabetes Care found that people with type 2 diabetes who took 1, 3, or 6 grams of cinnamon reduced their fasting blood glucose levels by 18–29 percent, and also reduced triglycerides by 23–30 percent. It also reduced LDL cholesterol by 7–27 percent, and total cholesterol by 12–26 percent.
