Artisans HK Pvt Ltd, is an Australian backed BOI venture established in 2020. (company was renamed from Elegant Knitting (Pvt) Ltd in 2020 and Elegant Knitting was renamed from Lanka Knitters since 2012. The original company, Lanka Knitters has been incorporated in 2003).

The Company is engaged in the sustainable manufacture of hats and bags. Being a socially responsible sustainable corporate entity, the company brings valuable foreign exchange to Sri Lanka. The company services over 10 global export markets including the Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Europe, USA and Australia. Since its inception, the Company has provided both direct and indirect employment to over 12,000 Sri Lankans with current head count standing at 250 employees and over 6,000 registered Artisans working remotely in many rural parts of Sri Lanka. The Company’s primary business place is at Tissa. Bag Finishing plant is located at Ja Ela while the central warehouse and corporate office is located at Mulleriyawa.
