Sri Lanka’s participation at International Apparel & Textile Fair 2026

The International Apparel & Textile Fair (IATF) 2026, scheduled from 18–20 May 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai, offers a strategic gateway for Sri Lankan apparel and textile exporters to strengthen their footprint in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) will be organizing Sri Lanka’s participation at IATF 2026, facilitating a national presence to showcase the country’s high-quality, sustainable, and ethically manufactured apparel and textile products to international buyers.

Strategic Importance for Sri Lankan Exporters

As one of the Gulf region’s leading B2B sourcing platforms, IATF connects global manufacturers with retail chains, wholesalers, distributors, fashion brands, and buying houses across the GCC, Africa, and Europe. Participation under the EDB’s coordination will enable Sri Lankan companies to:

• Expand market access within the high-growth GCC retail sector
• Engage directly with regional buyers and private label brands
• Promote Sri Lanka’s reputation for sustainable and ethical manufacturing
• Diversify export destinations beyond traditional US and EU markets
• Strengthen brand visibility in a competitive international sourcing environment

Product Segments of Focus

Sri Lankan exhibitors will have the opportunity to showcase:

• Fashion apparel and private label manufacturing capabilities
• Performance, sustainable, and value-added fabrics
• Home textiles and soft furnishings
• Accessories, trims, and specialty textile products
• Leather and eco-friendly product lines

Leveraging Dubai as a Trade Hub

With its strategic geographic location and strong logistics infrastructure, Dubai serves as a re-export hub linking Asia, Europe, and Africa. Participation at IATF 2026 will allow Sri Lankan exporters to capitalize on the UAE’s dynamic retail landscape and growing demand for premium apparel and textile products.

Through the national pavilion organized by the EDB, Sri Lanka aims to reinforce its position as a reliable sourcing destination and further strengthen trade ties with the MENA region.
