The first ever international Virtual Boat Show Sri Lanka 2021 is planned to be held from 25th -29th October 2021. The Virtual Boat Show Sri Lanka 2021 is organised by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) in association with the Ministry of Trade and Boat Building Technology Improvement Institute Lanka – GTE Ltd. (BTI).
Following the success of Boat Show Sri Lanka 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2018, the upcoming virtual boat show is expected to attract a large number of buyers and visitors, boating enthusiasts, and industry professionals from countries worldwide, since the organisers are planning to promote the event with the help of Sri Lankan High Commissions and Embassies around the world, along with the ICOMIA, Asia Boating Dialogue, Marine Industry news, IBI, etc.
This event is organised to showcase the country’s capabilities in recreational boating and yachting, nautical tourism, chartering, marine sports, boat building, and related services and opportunities for investment, marina, infrastructure development and business for exporting, and domestic marketing.
The launching ceremony of the Virtual Boat Show Sri Lanka 2021 is to be held on 9 August 2021 at 11 a.m. at the EDB, under the patronage of Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardena, with the participation of the limited number of invitees and officials following the health guidelines at EDB Board Room.
