SAMANALA EXPORTS

60 years ago in 1954 founder Mr. B.M.H.B Balasuriya started a coconut collecting center with small coconut estate owners in the area.Samanala Exports was founded and established in 1966. Mr.B.M.H.B.Balasooriya inherited a 40 Acre coconut estate .This Samanala Exports was established in Kuliyapitiya, North Western Province in Sri Lanka.Malwanegedara is a rural area with beautiful sceneries, lakes, coconut estates and temples. The proprietor sold coconuts with husks and copra to the BCC Company and Sedawatta Oil mills and Sri Krishna in Colombo. He manufactured copra on a large scale in the area. Samanala Exports has been closely associated with the agricultural and Industrial sectors in Sri Lanka.For over a century. Presently Samanala Exports is a member of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Lanka Export Development Board, Coconut Development Authority, Coconut Development Board, Coconut Research Institute and Institute of Fundamental Studies
