Founded as Sriyani Industries in 1980, we were a small-scale absorbent cotton gauze manufacturing company that supplied the local requirements of public hospitals under the Ministry of Health in Sri Lanka. With factories in southern Sri Lanka, Sriyani Industries grew to be the second largest manufacturer and supplier of absorbent cotton gauze to the Ministry.
Diversification into other medical disposables (such as sanitary napkins and surgical face masks), devices and equipment began in 2002 with the founding of Sisili Projects Consortium.
Sisili, together in a joint venture partnership with Lalan Rubbers Pvt. Ltd., also initiated the supply of locally manufactured disposable medical examination and surgical sterile gloves in Sri Lanka. The sterilization process occurs at the Multi-purpose Gamma Irradiation Facility under the Ministry of Power and Energy – and both products have over 90% local value addition; and are ISO and CE certified.
