    Work Area

    As the Director Industrial Products is responsible for The development, promotion, and enhancement of export performance of industrial product sectors are undertaken through systematic and integrated approaches such as product development and adaptation, technology upgrading, quality and packaging improvement, training, and marketing. Technical assistance programmes are formulated and implemented in collaboration with international agencies, while overall supervision and coordination of sector-specific development programmes are provided.

    The product coverage of this division includes a wide range of export sectors such as rubber and rubber-based products, apparel and textiles, gems and jewellery, mineral and mineral-based products, ceramics, boat and shipbuilding, auto components and engineering products, lifestyle and handicrafts, pharmaceutical as well as other value-added industrial and manufacturing sectors contributing to Sri Lanka’s export portfolio.
