The programme was designed to support the development of export-oriented enterprises in the North Western Province by enhancing their knowledge and capacity to enter international markets.
The primary objective of the seminar was to provide awareness and capacity building for small and medium-scale potential exporters and entrepreneurs, thereby facilitating their entry into export markets through improved understanding of export procedures, financial management, and available banking facilities.
The programme brought together 59 SME companies and 16 Export Development Officers, creating a strong platform for knowledge sharing, awareness building, and technical guidance on export development.
The programme featured two (2) resource persons who shared their expertise and practical industry insights. Mr. Rienzie Cooray, Managing Director of Worldwide Logistics Lanka (Pvt) Ltd and Certified “Export Management Coach” appointed by the International Trade Centre (ITC), delivered a comprehensive session on export procedures, documentation, and practical aspects of international trade operations.
