Participants gained practical insights into developing an effective online presence, promoting their products and services to wider audiences and using digital tools to support business growth and export development. The programme also provided an opportunity for participants to discuss their experiences and challenges and obtain guidance from the resource persons through an interactive session.

the programme was particularly aimed at supporting women entrepreneurs who were seeking to expand their businesses and explore opportunities in international markets. It formed part of the EDB’s ongoing efforts, through the SheTrades Sri Lanka Hub, to strengthen the capacity of women-led enterprises and encourage greater participation of women entrepreneurs in international trade.
The programme emphasized that establishing a strong digital presence could be an accessible and practical starting point for women entrepreneurs to increase their visibility, connect with international markets and gradually develop their businesses towards export readiness.
