The Export Development Board (EDB) was pleased to welcome 36 MBA students specializing in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi, as part of their exposure visit to Sri Lanka.
The students expressed keen interest in gaining a deeper understanding of the EDB, its role in Sri Lanka’s export development, and the initiatives undertaken to support Sri Lankan businesses in accessing international markets.
The session provided an opportunity for the students to learn about the EDB’s work, Sri Lanka’s export sector, and the country’s trade and business opportunities. An interactive question-and-answer session allowed the students to actively engage, raise questions, and exchange views on Sri Lanka’s export landscape and the role of the EDB.
The students were also introduced to Sri Lanka Expo 2027, the upcoming international trade exhibition aimed at connecting Sri Lankan businesses with global buyers and investors.
The visit provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and meaningful engagement between the EDB and the next generation of international business professionals from India.
