The SheTrades Sri Lanka Hub, hosted by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), successfully organised a Workshop on Export Readiness for Women Led Exporters at the Divisional Secretariat, Horana, with the objective of equipping aspiring and existing women entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills required to enter international markets.

The workshop brought together 40 export oriented women-led businesses and featured a series of practical and interactive sessions covering key areas such as export readiness, building a strong digital presence for export success, export marketing and packaging for international markets, and export procedures and documentation requirements. Participants were also introduced to the wide range of services and support available through the EDB, including its Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme.

The programme provided an important platform for women-led enterprises to strengthen their export capabilities, enhance their competitiveness, and gain valuable insights into accessing global markets. Through expert-led sessions and networking opportunities, participants were encouraged to take the next steps in their export journey with confidence.

The SheTrades Sri Lanka Hub continues to play a pivotal role in fostering inclusive trade by supporting women entrepreneurs through targeted capacity-building programmes, strategic partnerships, and initiatives that promote sustainable export growth across Sri Lanka.
