The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Embassy in Beijing and the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Shanghai, successfully organized Sri Lanka’s national participation at the 8th edition of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2025, held from 5th to 10th November 2025 at the National Exhibition & Convention Center in Shanghai, China.
A total of 16 Sri Lankan companies showcased their products under the Consumer Goods and Food & Agriculture sections, while the National Pavilion was organized in the country pavilion section by the EDB in cooperation with the Sri Lanka Tea Board (SLTB), National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA), and the Coconut Development Authority (CDA).

Participating companies included Nature's Wellness (Pvt) Ltd, Lions Management (Pvt) Ltd, Ceylon Tips Branding (Pvt) Ltd, Sinolan Tea (Pvt) Ltd, Consolidated Business Systems Ltd, Rancrisp Marketing (Pvt) Ltd, Hero Nature Products (Pvt) Ltd, and Waguruwela Oil Mills (Pvt) Ltd, representing the food and agriculture sector.

The gem and jewellery sector were represented by Sunshine Gems & Jewellery, Batcha Gems, Dhana Gems, Sanjeewani Handicrafts, Hafisgems (Pvt) Ltd, Abeywardhane Gems (Pvt) Ltd, and Zam Gems (Pvt) Ltd, while the Consumer Goods section was represented by Pintanna Oud Oil (Pvt) Ltd.
The Sri Lanka Pavilion attracted significant attention from international buyers and visitors for its authentic Sri Lankan flavours, premium teas, natural food products, and exquisite gems and jewellery. The unique blend of Sri Lankan craftsmanship and taste created a strong impression among visitors, generating numerous business inquiries and new market opportunities.
Since 2018, the EDB has continuously organized Sri Lanka’s participation at the CIIE with the valuable assistance of the Consulate General Office of Sri Lanka in Shanghai, whose coordination has been instrumental in ensuring the successful representation of Sri Lanka at this global platform.
The 2025 participation further strengthened Sri Lanka’s presence in the Chinese market, enhancing visibility for high-quality Sri Lankan products and reinforcing the island’s image as a reliable sourcing destination for premium goods.
