The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) successfully organized Sri Lanka’s participation at Posidonia 2026, held from 01st to 05th June 2026 in Athens, Greece, marking a significant milestone in promoting Sri Lanka’s Marine & Offshore Services (M&OS) sector on the global stage.

Recognized as one of the world’s largest and most prestigious international maritime exhibitions, Posidonia serves as a premier platform connecting global shipping, marine, and offshore industry stakeholders. The exhibition attracts thousands of exhibitors, industry professionals, ship owners, maritime service providers, and trade visitors from across the world, creating extensive opportunities for business networking, partnerships, and knowledge exchange.

Understanding the strategic importance of the global marine industry and Sri Lanka’s growing capabilities in the sector, the EDB organized the Sri Lanka Country Pavilion at Posidonia for the first time, with the participation of seven Sri Lankan companies representing diverse segments of the Marine & Offshore Services industry. The companies are Colombo Dockyard PLC, CIAP (Pvt) Ltd, Deep Ocean (Pvt) Ltd, Pulsar Shipping Agencies (Pvt) Ltd, Seven Sails Shipping & Maritime (Pvt) LTD, Omega Shipping ( Pvt) Ltd and Master Divers (Pvt) Ltd.

At the vibrant “Sri Lanka Pavilion,” participating companies showcased Sri Lanka’s expertise and capabilities in areas including ship repair, shipbuilding, marine engineering solutions, ship chandelling services, offshore support services, maritime logistics, vessel maintenance, and other value-added marine solutions. The pavilion attracted significant interest from international buyers, global industry leaders, shipping companies, and potential business partners, further strengthening Sri Lanka’s positioning as a strategic maritime hub in the Indian Ocean region.

The participating companies were provided with valuable opportunities to engage directly with international stakeholders, explore new business prospects, and establish business linkages with potential clients and partners from various parts of the world.

In addition to the exhibition, Posidonia 2026 featured a comprehensive programme of conferences, networking sessions, and technical forums enabling participants to gain insights into emerging global trends, technological advancements, sustainability initiatives, and future developments in the international shipping and marine industry.
