Over the last several months, the Export Development Board has developed a relationship with UCLA Anderson School of Management’s Global Access Program (GAP) with a view to strengthening Sri Lanka’s exports to the United States. The Export Development Board has worked closely with GAP Executive Director Dr. Fredrik Leuhusen, in addition to seeking external reference from agencies in New Zealand and Finland who have been among the most frequent GAP clients.
The 22nd Presidential Export Awards Ceremony was held to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the Exporters at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo, on September 18, 2018, under the patronage of His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena the President of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Association of Non- State Higher Education Institutes (SLANSHEI) is an umbrella organization formed in the year 2016 through the initiation of seven leading private institutes working for a common set of goals aimed at addressing the needs of the non-state higher education sector in the country. The seven founding members comprised of Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology ( SLIIT), Colombo International Nautical and Engineering College ( CINEC), Horizon Campus (HC), Asian Pacific Institute of Information Technology ( APIIT), Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka), Aquinas and South Asian Institute of Technology and Management (SAITM). Apart from these institutes, Saegis, KIU and Gateway Graduate School have currently gained its full membership.
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in association with the Ministry of Development Strategies and International Trade, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, Department of Commerce and the Sri Lanka Export Development Board will be organising Sri Lanka Investment and Business Conclave 2018 from 19 to 21 June for the third consecutive year at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The 2017 edition of the annual World Export Development Forum (WEDF) kicks off today in Budapest, Hungary under the theme ‘Trade – A Force for Good: Include, Innovate, Integrate’.
The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) organised a half day seminar on ‘Digital Doors to Trade’ for Sri Lankan exporters to create awareness on Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Consumer (B2C) digital trade platforms. The seminar was held recently at the EDB Auditorium with the participation more than 125 people.
The EDB facilitated the Sri Lankan educational services exports sector to participate in the 11th ECAN Education Fair which was held in Nepal from 20-23 July, providing information, coordination and financial assistance under the EDB Market Development Assistance Program.
